The Friday Question
No winners for last week’s question I’m sorry to say though as a consolation prize Mr. Scott Scharf and Mr. Denny Mezan are welcome to drop by the Pratt Street Ale House any day while I’m in the brewery and I’ll buy you a beer! The answer to last weeks question is …. drum roll… the Ironman Pale Ale is brewed with 6lb and 5 ounces of hops.
So, on to this weeks question…. The 3 Lions Ale is one of our flagship beers and is soon to be the center of a cool event at the Ale House (see future posts for details). 3 Lions is a strong brown ale with an original gravity of 1075. It is a grain only brew, no sugars added, brewed with pale ale malts, dark crystal malt, chocolate and black malt and malted wheat. The question is this ….
what is the total weight of malt (+/- 20lbs) used to produce a 7 barrel batch of this delicious ale?
Good luck and have a good weekend.
Cheers
Steve
