Oh yeah, the Hot Monkey Love is on tap NOW!!!! It seems fitting that our strongest beer (10% a.b.v.) goes on tap on the same day that I’m brewing one of my all time favorite lower alcohol beers, the Dark Horse dark mild (4% a.b.v.). I think that it bares testament to the diversity of styles that you can brew with a single yeast strain in a somewhat limited facility such as this. I’ve just tried the first pour of the Monkey and I think it turned out exceptionally well, full of malt flavors but well balanced and deceptively drinkable for a beer of its strength. I’ll leave all of the “hints of raisins” etc judgments to you guys but I hope that you enjoy it … beers like this really are a labor of love!
