The Monkey has left the building
It’s with a heavy heart that I must announce that the Hot Monkey Love passed away on Sunday and I didn’t even have the chance to say goodbye (sob)…. I think that the news of the Ravens’ crushing victory over Detroit was too much for our beloved monkey! The fans at The Pratt Street Ale House celebrated in style! All is not lost though. There will be a second coming of sorts in February. We have a cask of “My Monkey’s Got Wood” hidden away for release on Valentine’s Day and a sixtel for the strong beer tasting at The Brickskeller in D.C. (February 9th). Taking its place on tap is a keg of ’08 William’s Winter Warmer. This was a different recipe to the ’09 version, a little lower in alcohol (7.5% abv) but with a little more spice although this has mellowed out over the year that it has been stored. Also going on cask today will be a firkin of Oak Aged 3 Lions.
Can’t wait to have some of that Oak Aged 3 Lions firkin on Wednesday!
